The Spalding name comes from Albert G.Spalding's the company's founder, who established the company in 1876. He was a baseball player and travelled a lot around the world promoting the development of baseball and sport as a whole, always insisting on the use of only the best equipment for achieving the highest results in all kinds of sport.
